Hello, welcome to my website. The inspiration for my music is simple - three generations of my family in a small village in Kent, England, and all the history that comes with it.
To date I have released six folk music albums predominantly of my own songs: Where's The History (2002), Out Of His Tree (2004), In A Hole (2007), It’s only 8 ¼ Miles to Dreamland (2010), Swing Boys Swing (2015) and Levitating In Lockdown (2021).
Also I have released one album of animal songs with kids (little & big) in mind: When Orangutan Rings (2024)
NEW ALBUM:
I Couldn't Help But Notice
(OUT NOW)
"Hobbins is as deeply rooted as his songs, most of which were written in the converted pig styes in the back garden of the house that his father built. Listen to one of Hobbins’ songs and you’ll hear the strain of Englishness that pervades them."
